Health online radio shows and pituitary internet talk radio by CushingsHelp BlogTalkRadio

MaryO and Robin discuss doctor blogs and "Cushie"blogs. Dr. Rob, are your ears burning? ;) I bet Zippy's are! They are red, anyhow...ha! We also mentioned Kevin Pho's site, kevinmd.com and Ramona Bates' site, Suture for a Living, although I totally messed up the name of her blog. I apologize, Dr. Bates. (I've fixed my punctuation, too, since I posted this. Yikes...that's what happens when one posts before one has coffee early in the morning.)

The Cushing's Help blogtalkradio show has over 6000 listeners on blogtalk alone. The shows are also uploaded to iTunes and have a large following there.

(In the "Responses" section, you'll notice that MaryO said there are well over 7000 listeners now. Wow....that happened fast!)

  1. Actually, we had over 7,300 before last night's show on BlogTalk alone. Is that cool or what?

Thanks again, Robin - you do so well at spreading the word in several different venues. Almost makes having Cushing's worth it, right?

    (ducking and running...fast)

  2. Aw Shucks. Thanks for the good word. I did have a diabetic today who I checked for cushings (24 hr free cortisol). It is possible to teach an old doctor new tricks.

It's been nice to get to know you folks.

  3. Cool - thanks, Dr Rob! I sure hope s/he doesn't have Cushing's but it's great that you're checking.

We need more doctors willing to learn "new tricks" like you.

    Thanks!

  4. Ruh-roh....I fixed it, MaryO...

You know, there is always a silver lining to every cloud, although hard to spot sometimes. The silver lining to the cloud called "Cushing's" is not that I can spread the word, but the friendships that I've gained. And I spread the word because of those friendships. There is no way one person can do it all, and you've been trying for so long. If each of us just does a little bit, however we can, like those before me did so that I would be helped, then it is paid forward.

I totally believe in paying forward. It's the least I can do.

Dr. Rob...good for you! If it's low, you know it doesn't mean s/he doesn't have it, though, right? (Not it's MY turn to duck and run....)
