In case you didn't hear it, the distractible Dr. Rob was on the Cushing's-Help BlogTalkRadio show the other night. And he did a great job even with his discombobulated host(ess). I swear, Dr. Rob....people are gonna think I was nervous, but I really wasn't. Is distractibility catching? A computer virus, maybe? OH NO!!!
I think it was the chicken ringtone...yep, that's it. (I see another logo in the making.) That's it! A mutation of the notorious avian flu virus! Argh..I'm doomed!
In all seriousness, MaryO was co-hosting and tried to keep me straight. (Yeah, yeah, my own mother couldn't do that...) To listen to the show, look to your right at the sidebar. If you are reading via feed, you'll have to click to the blog, I guess. It's embedded in a widget or I'd put it in the feed.
If you didn't hear it, you need to go listen to it! Dr. Rob gave a clear, concise message about what's happening in health care, especially with our PCP's. It behooves those of us who are also patients to get on the ball and do something!
I knew you were going to ask "What can I do?" I've asked Dr. Rob (and any other gracious MD soul) to help me come up with a simple guideline for patients to use to communicate with their Congress people. Congress critters? Uh...ahem...."representatives" (in quotes because that's a title in-name-only most of the time).
While I'm on that, you need to go check out Dr. Leap's blog. He has some great posts on there about what's happening on the election front and in our
Dr. Rob, that brings me to another question: What do you get when you cross a chicken and a llama?
